What Are PDO Collagen Threads?
Skin resurfacing with radiofrequency (RF) technology at River Park Esthetics is a nonsurgical aesthetic treatment that uses pulsating beams of light to remove dead and damaged skin cells one layer at a time. This service is great for reducing facial lines and wrinkles and for improving blemishes, such as acne scars, pigmentation, and more. Skin resurfacing using the Opus Plasma™ platform is considered a great treatment for patients who want clearer, softer, younger-looking skin. Book an RF skin resurfacing consultation at our Dublin, OH location as soon as you’re able.
How PDO Collagen Threads Work?
A PDO thread lift usually takes about 30 – 45 minutes to perform, which is why it’s sometimes called a “lunchtime facelift.” Prior to your procedure, you will have a skin assessment and consultation with Dr. Saurer so you can discuss your esthetic objectives. A topical anesthetic will be used on your face before a needle is used to place the PDO collagen threads into specific areas of your facial skin. Dr. Saurer will reposition and tighten the threads to create the desired level of volume and lift. Following a PDO thread lift, patients often experience bruising, swelling, and redness in the treated area, which should dissipate after 2 – 3 days. You may see immediate enhancements following your procedure, but you will find continued improvements due to collagen generation over the next few months.
