What is an IPL Photofacial?
Patients who are bothered by the look of hyperpigmentation, discoloration, or sun damage in their complexion can be excellent candidates for intense pulsed light (IPL) therapy at River Park Dental and Esthetics. An IPL photofacial is a rejuvenating skin treatment for hyperpigmentation concerns on the neck and face. Dr. Phing Saurer uses IPL photofacials to send intense pulses of light energy to ignite the natural regeneration process and increase the production of collagen. As the added nutrients take effect, you should see a healthier appearance, an improved tone, and less dark spots. Although a photofacial is not an invasive procedure, it can be highly effective and can produce impressive results for your complexion. Our Dublin, OH team employs the Alma Harmony XL PRO laser to carry out IPL photofacials and can offer you a skin analysis to see if this service can help renew your skin.

How Does An IPL Photofacial Work?
IPL photofacials are performed at our Dublin, OH office in about 30 – 45 minutes in one of our treatment rooms if performed alone. To start the photofacial, your technician will clean and dry the skin to be treated before protecting your eyes with goggles. The IPL photofacial is performed using a handheld device that passes over the skin while emitting pulses of light energy. While patients can feel some minor discomfort during the photofacial, it is generally very tolerable given the short treatment time.
