#TEAMIZAK

We are so honored to care for smiles (and the people they belong to) on a daily basis. When life surprises our patients with difficulties we do what we can to be sure their smiles remain strong. #TEAMIZAK is a special crew, and we were very happy to contribute to their amazing fundraising effort of $10,750 for The 2019 Columbus Congenital Heart Walk. Live well little warrior, we love you.

Brew Hop at Bridge Park

Last evening our Team joined over 400 guests at the Dublin Chamber of Commerce Brew Hop at Bridge Park. A $10 donation was made by guests and they were able to hop from establishment to establishment with a passport to enjoy snacks, goodies, and giveaways. Proceeds from the event were given to The Dave Thomas Foundation. The foundation was founded by Wendy’s founder Dave Thomas in 1992 and is dedicated exclusively to finding permanent homes for the more than 150,000 children waiting in North America’s foster care systems.

Try Yoga, they said…

Dr. Phing Saurer and her Team are dedicated to giving back where and when they can. Her dear friend, Matt, lost his mother to cancer and has been bringing the fight against it 1 beat at a time ever since. He and his family created the Linda W. Daniel Foundation to honor their late mother and bring awareness in the form of exercise and give back. Every day of the week has an action, it is an inspiring organization. This week the foundation will host Yoga for a Cause, all levels of Yoga Warriors are welcome. All proceeds will benefit Dr. Benson at OSU James Cancer Center. Our Fearless Leader gave it her best go…she is good at things.

Mental Health Awareness

We closed the office today to recognize Mental Health Awareness month. Our team spent the morning at the 28th annual Catalyst for Positive Change Breakfast held at the Makoy Center. They had the pleasure of hearing Maddie Spielman speak about perseverance after a tragic loss. Syntero honored local students that are passionate about breaking the stigma surrounding this topic. When your tooth isn’t feeling well you call us, when your mind isn’t feeling well it is okay to call someone. Syntero is a great place to start. Take care of you, Friends.

Dublin Firefighters Ball

Every member of our team is committed to giving back when and where we can. Last evening our Practice Administrator, Ellen, threw on the fancy to hand deliver two prize packages for our friends of the Washington Township Fire Department to auction off at the 2019 Dublin Firefighters Ball. The proceeds from the event benefit Honor Flight Columbus and the total amount raised was over $20,000! Holy Moly! The misson of Honor Flight Columbus is to honor our nation’s senior veterans with a trip to Washington, D.C. to visit their war memorials at no cost. Kudos to our Friend, Mr. Chuck Cattrell, on heading up such a phenomenal event.

Lessons in a Lunch Box

Today Dr. Saurer joined the CEO of Benco Dental Chuck Cohen and several other Dentist at a school in Harlem to deliver Lessons in a Lunchbox. In response to the numerous health and behavioral issues seen in children with dental caries, Pediatric Dentist and CEO of the COHI, Winifred Booker, created the “Lessons In A Lunch Box: Healthy Teeth Essentials & Facts About Snacks” program to ensure teachers, parents and children are all working together to help eliminate this potentially deadly, yet completely preventable, disease. “Tooth decay remains the most common chronic disease of children ages five to seventeen. No child should be at-risk of dying from complications arising from dental caries, when all it takes is education and preventative maintenance to keep children’s teeth healthy,” said Dr. Booker.

After a day of giving back Dr. Saurer enjoyed a ride on the Brooklyn Bridge and a fine dinner with her favorite Brothers.
